  Francesca Marcaccio Hitzeman

Can't find my way back home (2009- 2014)

A selection of photographs from my several road trips across the American Coasts - a journey across states from Los Angeles, CA,
through Nevada to New York, and back.

After spending some days on the road, I felt alone being back in the desert again.
Death Valley was beautifully desolate - a perfect place to be lonely in.
I won't forget the growing white noise of heat and silence descending into that valley.
With nothing to do but wait,
I preoccupied myself with photographing what nine millions years ago was a lake and
today is
Zabriskie Point.
